Sets & Locations
Settings should be one of the WOW factors that it make you want to be there, whether on a gorgeous beach, beneath a fantastic waterfall, in an imposing canyon, atop a wave, or inside an awesome lava dome or tube.

MENEHUNE ISLAND
Menehune Island is a medium-sized island (similar to Maui) somewhere in the Pacific. It is dominated by a sometimes-active volcano.
The Old Village is the divide between the newer areas in the west and the original unspoiled parts to the east. Main Beach and the Boardwalk run along the southern part of the island. Kahuna's Cove is southeast.
Hidden deep in the jungle are the Sacred Pools fed by waterfalls from a spring in Volcano Mountain. Lava tubes are everywhere beneath the surface. In the north are young lava flows and the occasional lava-dome and, northwest, a deep and dangerous canyon.

MAIN BEACH & THE BOARDWALK
The Boardwalk runs from town past the outdoor market, a small flower shop, Cass's's bead shop, the Karaoke Bar and Krater's restaurant, in front of which there are gymnastics bars, rings and a beach volleyball court.
After the surf shop and the old Banyan Tree the Boardwalk disappears under the sand heading toward unspoiled beach and Kahuna's hut on The Point.

THE OCEAN
This is where humans and Menehunes love to spend as much time as possible surfing.

Sometimes, situations and
Menehune Magic transform the protagonists and take them into the underwater world.

THE OLD BANYAN TREE
The Old Banyan Tree is a favorite gathering spot in the cool shade. It is next to the surf shop at the end of the Boardwalk. The Menehunes live in a space deep inside its trunks.

THE SACRED POOLS
The Sacred Pools are hidden deep in the jungle, their waters originating somewhere high up on Volcano Mountain and ending in Kahuna's Cove.

KAHUNA'S COVE
Kahuna's Cove begins just around the corner from Main Beach. It is pristine and unspoiled and is the outlet of the clear waters from the Sacred Pools. Kahuna's tiny grass hut sits among the banana trees and palms on the point between Main Beach and Kahuna Cove. Kahuna's fire pit is a great spot for story-telling and star-gazing at night.

DISTANT LOCATIONS
Menehunes and surfers love to travel to other parts of the globe to find the best surf spots. There is a little magic involved in getting them there - and back!

(The impossibly small grass shack of the Big Kahuna is the portal where Menehunes and humans gather to fly to other parts of the world, surfing on Princess Hala's beam of light to get there.)
